ABOUT MITCH
Raised in Nevada and shaped by the outdoors, Mitch is the craftsman behind Mitch’s Primitive Arts. Working by hand, he creates obsidian arrows, arrowheads, and knives that honor traditional techniques, natural materials, and purposeful design.
Mitch is a Nevada native with a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Growing up surrounded by wide open spaces shaped his love for hunting, craftsmanship, and working with his hands. Outside of the shop, he enjoys sports, spending time with his wife, their two daughters, and their two dogs.
His work is inspired by traditional methods and a deep appreciation for Indigenous cultures that have long valued natural materials, skill, and purpose. As a modern craftsman, Mitch approaches this practice with respect and humility, focusing on time-honored techniques rather than imitation. Every piece is handcrafted in Ten Mile Creek, Nevada, reflecting patience, intention, and a strong respect for the land.
